Call for Speakers

HIMSS Northern California is pleased to announce a Call for Speakers for our upcoming flagship clinically-focused program, the ePatient Summit. 

This year's theme is "Old Problems, New Solutions" and will focus on how technology is enabling cutting edge treatments, improving how clinicians can collect patient data, and showing impactful new ways to solve age-old problems, like chronic care management or readmissions.

This event will be held in or around San Francisco in the second or third week of April - the Planning Committee is still confirming the exact date and location.

Important Dates

Submission window: January 27, 2020 - February 14, 2020 

Notification of selections: February 21, 2020

Final slides/panel materials due: March 30, 2020

Conference: April 2020 (date to be announced in February)

Session Specifications:

  • No vendor-specific submissions will be accepted. The topic must be focused on educating and delighting our audience, not selling a product or service.

  • Submissions should be in abstract format and no more than 550 words

  • Session options are panel (45 minutes), quick talk (20 mins), or single session (45 - 60 mins). Please specify which type of session you are submitting.

  • Each session must include learning objectives and the intended audience.

  • Sessions must not disclose sensitive or confidential information as media and vendors will be present.

  • Novel approaches to telehealth
