The Northern California Chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is a diverse group of experienced technical and clinical healthcare professionals working throughout Northern California. We work at hospitals, corporate health systems, large group practices, consulting firms, vendors, universities and a wide variety of other organizations. Our members range from senior executives to students with many of us being key decision makers or influencers.
What is our purpose?
- To plan and conduct educational programs that promotes an understanding of healthcare information and management systems, processes and technologies
- To provide members opportunities to share ideas and exchange experiences in the field of healthcare information and management systems through meetings and networking events
- To assist members of this Chapter and our healthcare affiliates in developing their knowledge, increasing effectiveness and maintaining high-quality standards of performance and professionalism through education and advanced HIMSS credentialing
- To optimize our sponsors exposure to our evolving healthcare information technology community
This year, we are offering 3 educational programs – either half-day or all-day. Attendance ranges from 100-300 depending on the topic and venue. Our educational programs are designed to share expert knowledge and thought leadership that attracts and facilitates networking among our members and sponsoring vendors. Also, we will be hosting 2 socials and meetups throughout the year.
Northern California HIMSS appreciates the contributions our sponsors make to help defray the chapter’s program costs. We have structured a flexible sponsorship program that allows companies and organizations to align their marketing goals with our chapter’s programs. The various sponsorship levels offer different benefits that improve the awareness of our sponsors and in turn provide a benefit to our healthcare information management and technology community.
